Happy Nurses Day! to my dearest colleagues and friends...
a poem by me ; happy nurses day, for angels who sacrifice their 7-3 , 1-9, 7-7 timing who worked 24/7 on standby nurses who ignored nature call, because of call bells ringing every moment. nurses who go on hunger pang, who gave up their standard breakfast,lunch,dinner. who had breakfast converted to lunch which by then converted to dinner. who wanted to stop for a drink but gave a 2nd tut.
nurses who are so compassion. who wanted to cry but held back their tears. because of tears, it'll break patients and relatives heart. tears that show signs without hope. they became cold because they didn't want to affect patients. who is warm at heart which can't be felt. ; the actions done the patience they possess to hear patients agony.
my oh my ; the gave up their personal life. to be back there serving you. they grit their teeth even when they gotten work OT. when OT = over time = no money. they still hafta stay for patient's sake.
nurses who walk back n forth just to grab something for the patients counting the total steps they took... maybe it's infinity
the love they touch. will reach many... but who will understand a nurse's life?
when all they wanted was to help. was to love. some absurd patients took for granted. relatives scolded without giving a 2nd tut...
sometimes the tears in nurses was never shown. the pain they went thru... the day in they out.
